After 1 year of trying for a baby we still had no baby, I tried to get some fertility testing from my doctor but she said because I’m young (aged 22) I’ll get pregnant eventually… I was so mad!
But I walked away without any answers… feeling defeated, and wondering what to do next.
So for another 6 months we continued on our own trying for a baby, and nothing happened.
After 18 months trying to conceive I decided (with the help of a friend) to go to a different doctor. Oh my goodness things started moving quickly after this appointment! I got 8 vials of blood taken and had very extensive testing. Found out through my blood test that because my progesterone was so low I wasn’t ovulating. So I was prescribed 3 cycles of 50mgs of clomid.
How hard would it have been for my previous doctor to order some blood tests for me! Seriously considering laying a complaint… because she didn’t take me seriously when I thought something was wrong.
I got filled with hope… finally I have a chance of conceiving. I was starting to dream towards the future and hope for things to come…
Round 1… trying so hard not to symptoms spot… these hot flashes are killer in summer!! Not pregnant…
Round 2… Not pregnant…
Round 3… Not pregnant…
I was disappointed. I felt like a failure
Back to the doctor, 3 more cycles of clomid but at 100mg this time. I got told that if I wasn’t pregnant after these 3 cycles of clomid I was going to be reffered to a fertility specialist… i was scared.
Round 1… Not pregnant…
Round 2… 7 days late… went to the doctor because of exhaustion… pregnancy test… not pregnant…
Round 3… Not pregnant…
I’m so confused! What’s going on with my body and stopping me from getting pregnant??!! Back to the doctor I go… getting a referral to a fertility specialist.
So the fertility appointment…
